UWN (called United World Network or simply UWNetwork in some feeds) is a non-terrestrial channel owned by United World Media. It airs almost everywhere except certain countries. In the Nuclear Islands, the channel is named Sky Cuben and has a Nicktoons block. It airs factual programmes including Music, Movies, Comedy, Animated, Hybrid, Game shows, Reality, and News.

History

The channel was launched on radio in 1947, under the name TheCuben2006 Channel. Nine years later, it expanded to television beginning with the launch of the television network of the same name. During its first years, the channel's logos parodied other TV networks' logos, such as the 1952 logo that parodied Rede Record. In 1958, it introduced a new logo and its first mascot, Culture. The 1958 logo parodied Roblox's 2017 logo (which Roblox would file a copyright lawsuit against the channel). Beginning in 1960. TheCuben2006 Channel started to broadcast in color, and eventually changed their logo to eOne's 2017 logo, but printed in 2D format and colored hot pink. On January 21, 1976, the channel's logo changed once again to a blue outlined circle. Occasionally, the circle would be filled in with a face. TheCuben2006 Channel eventually became a cable channel around the world in 1979 except for 9 countries. TheCuben2006 Channel's logo was changed again on November 4, 1980 to two red raindrops, with an alternate logo omitting the text. Six years later on March 8, 1986, a new logo debuted with concept Zootopia logo text, and the channel's colors were changed to orange and red. On March 7, 1991, TheCuben2006 Channel changed its logo color to just red, and unveiled a new one with a red T in a box. TheCuben2006 Channel began to receive GRFX-made idents in 1995. On January 2, 2000, the day of the New Millenium celebration, TheCuben2006 Channel received a new logo, and changing the channel's color to green. An HD channel was launched on the same day. An unused prototype, which was the Rede Tupi logo, got rejected in 2004. On November 2, 2007, TheCuben2006 Channel received yet again another logo, this time keeping the color red. The channel's color got changed to sky blue, along with yet again another logo in 2009. The first season of BFDI was the first object show to air on TheCuben2006 Channel, Extreme TV's Objectvision premiered the series the day of its premiere. In 2013, TheCuben2006 Channel received another logo, keeping the sky blue color. In 2015, TheCuben2006 Channel received a short lived logo that was in use until 2016. In 2016, it received two variations of a new logo. In 2018, the channel's name was changed to CubenRocks Channel, whilst also receiving a new logo. In 2019, the founder of United World Media took control of the channel, and announced on December 31st, 2019 that the channel will be rebranded as UWN on February 1, 2020. The rebrand took effect at 3:00am on February 1st, 2020.
