The Vlokozu Union (Japanese: ヴロコズ在人国 Vurokozu Zaihikoku^?, Vicnoran: Eizecivokzica) (IPA: /vlɑ'koʊzuˈjunjən/, pronounced flock-o-sue u-ni-un), officially known as the Union of the Vlokozuian States (UVS) (Japanese: ヴロコズ国家連盟 Vurokozu kokka renmei) was a federal state located in the central Aritonesia that existed from 1969 to 1989. A flagship Vlokist state, it was the largest country in Aritonesia in the 20th century, covering over 782,539 square kilometers.

The country was an federal semi-presidential constitutional monarchy ruled by the Vlokozuian Labor Party with El Kadsre City as its capital in its largest province, the Vlokozuian State of El Kadsre.

Etymology

The country is named after the union’s founding father Michael Vlokozu, whose surname is derived from the Middle Vicnoran word "Vtłokodzuwa", which means "Thunder".

History

In 1958, the Republic of El Kadsre, which, at the time, was led by Hiroshi Kayos, was split into three fractions by the United Nations after it was discovered it had ties to the Kadsreius American Society, the organisation who attempted to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the United States. The Commonwealth initially imposed sanctions against El Kadsre before deciding to get the United States and the Soviet Union to split up the nation.

The three fractions of El Kadsre were the republic East El Kadsre, the Commonwealth Georgeland and the communist North El Kadsre. All three El Kadsres blamed the Maori community for the split, which resulted in the discrimination of the Maorian race in El Kadsre.

In 1967, Michael Vlokozu was sworn as the president of West El Kadsre. He vowed to unify the El Kadsres and the surrounding islands (Mahri and Sentan) by all means necessary and make El Kadsre a global superpower capable of overtaking the United States and Soviet Union.

In 1968, West El Kadsre, aided by United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, invaded East El Kadsre, as part of the plan to create the united Vlokist state. East El Kadsre signed the unconditional surrender, and West El Kadsre occupied East El Kadsre while its leaders were exiled. The same year, West El Kadsre took over the Screencold and Line islands.

On November 11, 1969, West El Kadsre, North El Kadsre, Mahri and Sentan signed the UVS Creation Treaty and the Declaration of the Creation of the UVS, forming the Vlokozu Union. Michael's main goal was to create a utopian society with "no corruption, fighting or discrimination, but only peace, friendship and understanding."

After the Maori shock and the treatment of Maori as "the people who must be eliminated for eliminating peace themselves", Michael Vlokozu began a program to combat hate on the Maori and created the Maori Civil Rights Act of 1971.

Between 1970 to 1972, the Vlokozu Union legally annexed various islands from Indonesia, UAR (renamed Egypt in 1971) and the Philippines to be transformed into external territories.

Almost immediately after the Union's formation, an economic miracle occurred. On October 14, 1973, the Vlokozu Union took the spot of the world's largest economy from the United States, and the Vlokozu Union/El Kadsre would hold the title for 35 years. The Vlokozu Union also gained the third-largest automobile industry in the world.

On September 23, 1977, the Vlokozu Union annexed Vicnoran Kingdom's land. Following the annexation, the Union was accused of violating International Law, as the invasion was recognized by 114 UN states to be an illegal occupation (including the Federation of Nesiondalsan States, the Non-Aligned Movement, and Comecon), and it was so controversial that eleven Commonwealth members that recognized the Vlokozuian annexation of Vicnora illegal (Kuliadei, Ungegia, Elidish, Ququdinia, Malaysia, The Gambia, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Cyprus, Fiji, and Grenada) boycotted the 1979 Commonwealth Winter Games at Mount Matilda Ski Resort in Matsuzawa, and the former four left the Commonwealth in 1978 only to rejoin in 1990.

In 1982, the Vlokozu Union joined forces with the United Kingdom to liberate the Falklands from Argentina while being struggled by weeks of protests in Makohiro triggered by the execution of Tara Fujimoto. After students raided the NVSEK government house on July 22, the Union declared martial law and two days later, sent in tanks and solders in Makohiro to suppress the demonstrators. Western countries then briefly suspended their formal ties with the Vlokozuian government and the Union was put under scrunity from the Commonwealth as the response of the massacre.

In 1983, the Vlokozu Union launched the economic and political reform program, which furthered the "The union with the variety of systems" and was made to recover the Union from the desperate situation caused by the massacre.

Demographics

Education

Vlokozu Union has a literacy rate of around 98%. The Vlokozu Union had 15 universities and 66 schools nationwide. General children were required to educate at the age of 5 until 17.

Most of the schools during the time were LTC schools as Michael expanded the construction of LTC schools in the rest of El Kadsre and its surrounding islands except for Vicnora. While some were either renovated, refurbished, demolished, or converted to other uses, most of these LTC schools still exist today.

Language

The Union's official languages were English, Spanish and Japanese. The Vicnoran language was also spoken in VS Vicnora, VS Screencold and Line, and south-eastern El Kadsre, while the French language was spoken in the Romrac reigon of VS El Kadsre.

Technological achievements

TS-Desk, released in 1973 is the world's first desktop computer and was invented in the Vlokozu Union.

During the economic miracle of the early 1970s, the Union managed to advance itself in technology. Vlokozuian scientists invented several things including the desktop computer, and the earliest known widescreen television sets.

The Union also were the first nation to go to the planet Mars. The Vlokozu Union also invented the Michael series of anti-ballistic missile units, starting with Michael I, which in November 1980 famously shot down a rocket launched from Faricia that would have landed in Raland.

The Union built two of one of the longest highway bridges in the world. The bridge that connects El Kadsre to Sentan measures 84.4 kilometers in length while the bridge that connects Mahri to Sentan measures 22.3 kilometers in length.

The Vlokozu Union invented the earliest forms of digital television animation.

Companies from the Vlokozu Union were involved heavily in the development of medicine, including vaccines. At one point, the Vlokozu Union was the world's largest producer of pharmaceutical products.
