WJJX-TV is a DirecTV-affiliated television station that serves Jackson, MS which began broadcasting in 1961 as an independent station. It broadcasts on channel 44 and is owned by the KIVO Television Group which also owns the other DirecTV affiliate KDLD-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas. In October 2016, WXFM Partnership Inc acquired WJJX-TV, but WXFM Partnership was later acquired by Lava Lamp Entertainment. The station was later acquired by KB Broadcasting.
