- January 13th - Taranotchi: The Legendary Knight, the first anime of the Taranotchi franchise created by Tomonori Akaishi begins its broadcast on El TV Kadsre 1, and is an immediate success. It later becomes one of the most watched shows on the network until the early 2000s.
